BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Make sure you complete all required new students forms. Ask your admission counselor if we have received all the forms we need. If you are registered for classes, you can also use your Online Orientation "Preparing For Your Arrival" Checklist.
Plan for who will attend check-in with you. New students are allowed to bring up to two guests with them to campus during their assigned check-in time.
If you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms: If you are ill, please stay home until you are well. If you have come into contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days, please stay home until 14 days have passed and you are symptom-free.
If you must delay your scheduled arrival on campus for health reasons, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org prior to coming to campus.
RESIDENTS MOVING IN
New residents will be assigned a two-hour window to move in. Your assignment will be emailed to you by the end of July. All residential students are asked to limit their move-in assistance to 1-2 other individuals. All individuals and their guests are required to wear a face covering while in the residence halls during the move-in process.
For students that need assistance, student leaders will be available to help students move in.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
All students and guests will be required to complete a health screening before checking in. Masks or face coverings are required indoors and outdoors when social distancing is difficult to maintain (at least 6 ft.) We will have sanitation stations available and ask that you would wash and sanitize hands as often as possible.
A maximum of two guests are allowed to attend check-in (and move-in if resident) with their student. Our Parent Relations team is excited to connect with you on the Campus Green when you arrive! Additionally, please join us online for the livestream Welcome To UNW session on Monday, August 24, at 1:00pm (link to come).
In order to accommodate social distancing protocols, we ask that all parents and guests depart after the student's assigned check-in/move-in window. Note: after move-in, no guests will be allowed in the residence halls. More information for incoming student parents can be found here.
